Coordinator Corporate Crime and Foreign Bribery Economic, Corporate Crime and Corruption Crime Command Australian Federal Police

Jeldee Robertson is the Coordinator Corporate Crime and Foreign Bribery at the Australian Federal Police (AFP). In that role, Jeldee coordinates and provides multi-disciplinary support for the AFP’s fraud and corruption investigations. She also chairs the AFP’s foreign bribery Panel of Practitioners and Experts. Jeldee’s team (the Corporate Crime and Foreign Bribery Team (CCFBT)) is responsible for ensuring that the AFP takes a nationally consistent approach towards corporations that want to self-report, cooperate and attempt to negotiate non-trial resolutions. The CCFBT also leads the AFP’s involvement in Australia’s public-private foreign bribery outreach program, the Bribery Prevention Network. Jeldee originally joined the AFP in 2019 as a Financial Crime Specialist and in that role acted as a national consultant supporting fraud and corruption investigations. Prior to joining the AFP, Jeldee worked for more than 10 years’ as a prosecutor with the Commonwealth Director of Public Prosecutions (CDPP). During her time at the CDPP Jeldee specialised in complex fraud and corruption prosecutions. Jeldee was the case officer at the CDPP for the Securency and Note Printing Australia matters which were Australia’s first ever foreign bribery prosecutions. Jeldee also chaired the CDPP’s Foreign Bribery Focus Group. In 2017, Jeldee was awarded the inaugural CDPP Law Week award for “Outstanding Contribution”. Prior to joining the CDPP Jeldee worked as an Associate at the Federal Court of Australia and as a solicitor and articled clerk at Mallesons Stephen Jaques (as it then was).
