DFCG, the French network of CFOs and Controllers (« Directeurs Financiers et de Contrôle de Gestion »), was created in 1964. Members consist of finance professionals, from private and public companies, academics, and consultants in management, finance, and IS/IT, who reside in France and internationally. The network is open to finance & management students (“DFCG étudiant”) as well as young professionals seeking to reach proficiency within the finance function (“DFCG Avenir”).

The 3 000+ strong membership represents 1800 companies (SME or listed entities), i.e., 1/3 of France’s GDP, operating in all economic and geographic areas within France. The DFCG is headquartered in Paris, with 13 regional offices offering local access for all members.

The mission of the network is:

• ENRICHING and PROMOTING ENHANCEMENT OF COMPETENCIES of its members through events, training, and publications
• PROVIDING A RICH NETWORK to its members
• Actively engaging INTERNATIONALLY. DFCG unites and cooperates with several national CFO networks in Europe, Africa, and Latin America
• GENERATING critical thought leadership in areas of expertise and playing a key role in economic and social debates

The main activities of the network are:

• Bringing leading edge knowledge and insight to our members’ area of relevant interest through DISCUSSION FORUMS (e.g., public services, distribution, performance management, bank & insurance, international, transition management, etc.)
• Developing and applying through leadership through COMMITTEES to address technical questions and challenges for Finance functions (e.g., ESG, Digital Transformation, RPA/AI, CFO in LBO, Shared Services & Outsourcing, IT/IS Financial systems, etc.)
• Issuing the association’s monthly magazine « FINANCE & GESTION », available digitally or in paper form (with supplemental digital access) 
• Organisation of CONFERENCES and LARGE EVENTS, e.g., “Financium”, a 2-day forum in November/December
• Offering access to approximately 100 TRAINING SESSIONS annually Each year, during Financium, the National Congress, DFCG awards a “CFO of the year Trophy”.
