Tom has 30+ years of operating, investing and consulting experience. He is a Partner and Global Leader of Bain’s Accelerated Transformation business, which focuses on driving breakthrough cost, revenue and cash flow results with clients, typically in programs where Bain’s fees are contingent on client profit improvement. Previously, Tom co-founded Bain’s Private Equity Group and private equity investment portfolio, and led the business through global expansion over 18 years. He has experience across a variety of industries including consumer products, retail, software, telecom and manufacturing.
Tom rejoined Bain in 2018 after five years running two companies. He served as president of Sunrun, Inc. (Nasdaq: RUN), where he led the VC-backed company to an IPO in 2015, and CEO of Century Snacks, LLC, a private equity-backed CPG company. Tom has served on the board of directors of numerous private equity and family-controlled companies.
