Chief Counsel Compliance and Head of Compliance Investigations and Regulatory Siemens

Dr. Martin Petrasch is a German lawyer who is working for the compliance legal department of Siemens AG since 2011. In his current position as the Chief Counsel Compliance, Mr. Petrasch is heading the investigations and regulatory department. He is primarily responsible for internal investigations of compliance cases globally, the handling of criminal cases with a corporate connection and legal and regulatory issues. Mr. Petrasch also acts as the central contact person within the corporation for the compliance whistleblower hotline and the external ombudsperson. Mr. Petrasch began his career in the Bavarian judiciary. From 2001 to 2005 he worked as a public prosecutor for white-collar crime. After a three-year delegation to the German Federal Ministry of Justice in Berlin, he served for several years as a judge at the regional court in civil and criminal cases (economic criminal division). Mr. Petrasch is the author of numerous publications in the area of compliance and a speaker on compliance topics at national and international conferences. In this context, he focuses primarily on issues of corporate compliance and (criminal) legal in-house topics.
