Rory Hedman

Rory is an ATM and Airports consultant at Think Research, a UK based Air Traffic Management Consultancy. In 2012 Rory graduated from Cranfield university with an MSc. in Airport Planning and Management. Since joining Think Research Rory has been involved in supporting a number of international Remote and Digital Tower initiatives at various stages of implementation. He first became involved with the concept through his contribution to SESAR Remote and Virtual Tower project P06.09.03 where he contributed to the validation planning and reporting for Single, Multiple and Contingency remote tower concepts and co-authored the European Operational Concept document. Rory has been involved in standardisation activities via EUROCAE Working Group 100 “Remote and Virtual Tower”, and in 2016 was honored with an EUROCAE award for ‘outstanding contribution’ in relation to the support he provided to WG-100 in the development of the MASPS for Remote Tower optical systems.
