Pre-event Workshops and Networking

Group Treasurers Exchange - Pre-event Workshops and Networking

5:00 pm - 5:30 pm Welcome Refreshments

5:30 pm - 6:30 pm Welcome Address & Interactive Roundtables: Predicting the Future Needs of Treasury Teams

Franca Aeby - Treasury Manager Front Office, Roche

Welcome to the 13th Edition of the GT Exchange.

We begin with a pre-event networking evening, providing treasury leaders in attendance an invaluable opportunity to connect and exchange ideas on building high-performing treasury teams through talent and people.

As Treasury continues to evolve into a more strategic role, there’s both greater awareness and recognition of treasurers in shaping business direction, while the demand for technological advancements and data interpretation capabilities grows to enable effective decision making. With these shifts, leaders must carefully plan ahead, for the talent and resources necessary to meet evolving demands.

Amidst ongoing talent shortages, this session offers an unparalleled opportunity to engage in sit-down roundtables alongside senior decision-makers, similarly focused on shaping the future of their teams. A unique opportunity to engage in treasury-related discussions, connect with peers eager to build high-performing teams and proactively address challenges to achieving these goals.

Roundtable Discussions:

Table 1: Attracting & Retaining Talent in Treasury: How to market the attractiveness of the position

Table 2: What will Treasury look like in 10 years time? Forecasting the diversification of a Treasury team’s expertise

Each roundtable will run for 30 minutes, following which the audience will change tables and each roundtable will be replaced with a new audience.

6:30 pm - 7:00 pm Fireside Chat: The Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Responsibility of Treasury Leadership

Marianna Polykrati - Group Treasurer, Avramar
Dagna Rezeberga - Vice President, Group Treasury & Investor Relations, Kelvion

As ED&I continues to evolve as key pillars of corporate success, organisations embedding these values into their culture see tangible benefits, to both the brands and reputations.

As the FCA has recently emphasised the responsibility of boards and senior management in driving cultural change to cultivate more inclusive and diverse working environments, treasury leaders hold responsibility for educating themselves in being part of a driving force behind fostering cultures of inclusivity, and championing D&I initiatives within business strategy.

Designed to equip treasury leaders with real-life examples of ED&I in action, and how to measurably make a difference, this discussion will speak to:

  • Identifying opportunities for DE&I growth and improvement
  • Overcoming challenges in fostering an inclusive culture
  • Measuring the positive outcomes of DE&I initiatives
