2:00 PM Only Intelligent Designs Produce Smart Buildings

Logistics hubs, distribution centres and warehouses are being automated at an accelerating rate resulting in wide-ranging implications for the building itself and the design process around it. This session will look at the changing requirements for industrial properties, as well as how digital design tools like virtual tours, simulators, and emulators mean little to achieve an integrated design without the right team, specifically:

  • Looking at how the ‘online’ world is changing the way businesses run their supply chains, and the impact on properties & what goes inside them
  • Highlighting the need for the building & warehouse automation to be fully integrated, rather than just interconnected
  • Explaining why digital design tools are becoming invaluable in smart designs, but can never be replaced by a focused & committed team
