Khalid Hamid

A true entrepreneur, as founder and managing director of PL Group of companies (PLC Contracting, PLC Marine and Projects Link Contracting); which is headquartered in Dubai since 2004, and operates regionally within the Middle East and internationally within its core competencies. Undertaking major marine construction and bulk earthworks projects as well as providing chartering services of marine vessels.

As part of his role, Khaled actively (sometimes, a bit too hands-on as his team might tell you) steers strategic decision-making and draws on his structural engineering education and years of specialty experience in the field to support PL in reaching its objectives and continue delivering some massive marine project landmarks.

With over 25 years of experience under his belt, and very visible love to what he does, a well informed and recognized figure in the marine construction industry. He started out working the engineering business as an entrepreneur where he got a taste for the challenges related to the construction industry before he went offshore. During his career Khaled led and successfully helped deliver major global marine construction projects in the Middle East and West Africa like La Mer Project, Dubai Harbor Master Plan, and several others large-scale marine projects. 

Khaled completed his BSc in Civil Engineering in 1991, participated in multiple executive management courses during the years, lately completed the OPM Program from Harvard Business School, in 2018. Attributable to his expertise, Khaled addresses various industry regional and international conferences and forums as a keynote speaker.
