Johannes Mang

Head of Studio Rovio Entertainment

A games industry veteran with over 18 years of experience, Johannes currently serves as Head of Studio at Rovio Stockholm where he is responsible for operating and growing Rovio’s largest and most profitable live game Angry Birds 2, as well as for incubating new mobile casual action games.

Prior to joining Rovio, Johannes was the General Manager of Remedy Sweden where he helped to set up Remedy’s new development studio in Stockholm and served as Executive Producer for an unannounced AAA game as a service.

Johannes started his live games journey as a product manager on Battlefield Heroes, EA’s first self-published free-to-play game, in 2007 and has specialized on free-to-play games as a service ever since. During his nearly 13 years at EA, he held the roles of Executive Producer for EA’s mobile racing games Need for Speed No Limits and Real Racing 3, General Manager of casual games portal Pogo.com, as well as COO for EA’s PC and web based free-to-play core games portfolio Play4Free.
