Jan Fischer is a qualified and acknowledged geotechnical engineer and is leading the geotechnical team in the offshore wind department in Hannover, Germany. He holds a PhD (Dr.-Ing.) in geotechnical engineering. During his research period at the Technische Universität Braunschweig and besides the execution of dynamic pile load and integrity tests, he analyzed in detail the phenomenon of soil fatigue during vibratory and impact pile driving. He is author and co-author of approximately 30 scientific papers and member of the subcommittee 'dynamic pile testing' as part of the Recommendations on piling (EA-Pfähle) from the German Geotechnical Society. He has special skills in the field of (dynamic) pile testing and pile installation predictions. Furthermore, his repertoire includes the preparation of geotechnical reports, planning and coordination of site investigation campaigns, general consultancy services and project management.
