Computational engineer wave-structure interaction Siemens Gamesa

Since my graduation at Delft University of Technology in 2012, I have been working at Siemens Gamesa as a wave-structure interaction specialist (monopile-based) and computational engineer. I have developed various engineering software tools for wave load calculation, load simulation and support structure design optimization. In the 2010s, I was involved in the WiFi joint-industry project on wave slamming. Recently, I have been working on improving our understanding of wave-induced resonance and its consequences for uncertainty risk in load calculations. An important part of this work is the development of a new damage-equivalent lumping method for bi-directional sea states (publication is work in progress).
