Dr Rhema Sundram

Head of Customer Experience Institut Jantung Negara

Dr. Rhema, a medical doctor by background, currently serves as the Head of Customer Experience at Institut Jantung Negara (IJN) in Malaysia. She brings a wealth of expertise in digital health technology and healthcare management.

Graduated with a Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery (MBBS) from Kasturba Medical College in Mangalore, India, she is also a Certified Professional in Patient Safety (CPPS) with experience in healthcare quality. Dr. Rhema's commitment to hospital administration is reflected in her pursuit of a Masters in Healthcare Management (MBAHM) from the International Medical University in Malaysia.

Her growing interest in health information technology, coupled with her clinical background, has positioned her as a key driver in IJN’s digital transformation initiatives, which led to the National Heart Institute being the first in Malaysia to achieve the HIMSS Electronic Medical Record Adoption Model (EMRAM) validation.
