Katy Baker is a Product Owner with Victoria’s Secret, specializing in Customer Communications and Personalisation. She brings a blend of analytical skills, creative strengths, and time/ project management to develop and implement customer-centric solutions. Katy graduated Magna Cum Laude and with Departmental Distinction from Drury University with her Bachelors in Business Administration. Drury University is a Liberal Arts University in Missouri, USA that is consistently listed in U.S. News & World Report’s “Best Colleges” rankings. She received her MBA from the same University, graduating top of class. As part of the MBA program, Katy was fortunate to attend a semester study abroad in Beijing, China, learning about various real-world business operations and challenges. While completing her MBA program, Katy began her career as a Marketing Data Analyst for Bass Pro Shops. She has since worked 10+ years for various organizations, including Pier 1 Imports, SiriusXM, and most recently Victoria’s Secret. The career roles have varied, but the focus has always been in improving the customer’s experience through Marketing, Personalisation, and Customer Communications. In her free time, Katy loves spending time with her husband and three children. She also enjoys reading (especially biographies and histories), researching ancestry and historical documentation, attending theatre and musical performances, traveling, and cheering on the St. Louis Cardinals baseball team.

  • Overall goal of personalisation is to create a more relevant, engaging, and quality experience for the customer. But we need to narrow that overall goal into a more defined objective
  • Overcoming challenges with understanding our customer and setting our Personalisation strategy; developing a plan for accomplishing our Personalisation goal
  • Building a MarTech stack that will support our strategy – customer consent, Customer Data Platforms (CDP), marketing automations, Customer Relationship Management (CRM) Systems, AI and Machine Learning
