The Australian Digital Health Agency officially commenced operations on 1 July 2016 and is tasked with improving health outcomes for all Australians through the delivery of Australia’s National Digital Health Strategy – Safe, seamless and secure in collaboration with partners across the community. The Agency is the System Operator of My Health Record, which is an electronic summary of an individual’s heath information that can be shared securely online between the individual and registered healthcare providers involved in their care to support improved decision making and continuity of care.
