Jens Andreas Schulz

Jens has a strong background in railway signalling. He starts his career 1980 as signalling maintainer at east-German Railway (DR).

He studied traffic science (specialisation railway signalling) as well as telecommunication and applied informatic at the university of traffic engineering Dresden. Jens has been worked for Thales as quality engineer and lecturer for signalling & operation matters in many countries.

He moved 2006 to Swiss Railways as product manager for electronic interlockings and power supply. He was also a member of the signalling safety board at SBB Infrastructure. Jens works actually as senior system engineer at the asset management & technology department of SBB Infrastructure. Jens is a Member of the UIC Signalling Expert Group and the International Technical Committee of the Institution of Railway Signal Engineers (IRSE ITC). He is the main author of the UIC technical report "Use of signalling relays".
