Mr Serge Chartoire

Serge Chartoire joined Arianespace in 1991.

He began his career at Matra Defense, in charge of promoting and developing infrared and electromagnetic countermeasures systems during four years. He then switched to space related activities at Matra Marconi Space for six years, at the satellite propulsion group (Serge has a Master degree in high temperature combustion processes) and system group.

At Matra Marconi Space, he occupied various technical and managerial positions in expertise and development for various space propulsion technologies and programs, and as propulsion project manager on different spacecraft programs such as Eurostar 2000/Telecom 2, Spot2, developing in parallel skills in spacecraft systems and AOCS.

At Arianespace, Serge Chartoire joined the Technical Support group, and rapidly became both head of the group and the Senior Expert for the Sales, Marketing and Customer Directorate.

He was then appointed to the Sales Director, Specific Orbits position early 2009, in charge of the whole market not related to the geostationary telecommunication activities
