Francesca Jarvis leads on Survivor Services at Chayn, a global nonprofit run by survivors and allies from around the world, who create resources and services to support the healing of survivors of gender-based violence. Before joining Chayn, Francesca worked in the UK Rape Crisis movement for many years, managing teams of frontline trauma workers in support services for survivors of sexual violence. Her range of frontline experience includes youth work, supporting survivors around and through the criminal legal system, fostering and developing collaborative working practices, and consultancy work with advocacy and campaigning organisations. Francesca has particular interests in participatory and collaborative practices, vicarious trauma, healing justice, and ways of being accountable for and transforming harm. Her organising work includes in groups exploring and practising community accountability, and she has recently become a trustee of an organisation working with men and boys on deconstructing masculinities to end gender-based violence.
