Yu-Lan is Head of Product at Checkstep, a B2B SaaS scale-up building Trust & Safety Moderation and Compliance solutions to help platforms dealing with harmful online behaviour and regulatory requirements. Prior to that, she was a Data Scientist at Meta in London, working on a range of topics involving network-based detection including counterterrorism, suicide & self-injury and also customer support and advertising. She started her career in management consulting at The Boston Consulting Group in Brussels, after finishing her masters in engineering. Outside of her mission of making the internet a safer place, she enjoys travelling, nature, horse-riding and piano.
