David Melcher

Research Associate Department Rotor Blades Fraunhofer Institute for Wind Energy Systems IWES

David Melcher was born 1989 in Hamburg. In 2017 he finished his Masters in “Computational Systems in Mechanical Engineering” at HAW Hamburg. After a short time as a Stress Engineer in Aviation he started at Fraunhofer Institute for Wind Energy Systems IWES as a Research Associate. Here he worked for the past 7 years mainly on simulation, optimization, and development in the field of rotor blade testing.
